Business Administration / Human Resource Management Diploma Program

graduate from the Program are eligible for a placement in any undergraduate
program at the faculty of Art and Science at the University of Winnipeg.
• The credits obtained from the Diploma Program are transferable
to the University of Winnipeg undergraduate programs. •
Qualified teachers are hired directly by the University of Winnipeg.
Program Description
The Business Administration/Human Resource Program is designed to
provide individuals with the skills required for managing the ever-changing
business entity. It combines essential business and communication
skills with current management theory and practical skills. Students
with strengths in both written and oral communications and who enjoy
working with others will find this program of particular interest.
The program consists of:
1. Intensive English Training Program (6 months)
2. Subject Courses (One Year)
Learning Techniques Seminar • Effective Oral Communication
• Effective Written Communication • Business
Fundamentals and Communication • Organizational Behaviour
• Financial Management for Non-Financial Managers
• Principals for Human Resource Management • Essential
Skills for Managers • Labour-Management Relations
• Training and Development • Project Management
• Financial Accounting • Fundamentals of E-Commerce
• Effective Business Writing • Communications in Management
The student must complete all the above courses in order to meet the
requirements for obtaining a diploma.
* In the event a student fails any of the courses, an additional charge
of $780 (visa students)/$600 (Canadian Citizens/Landed Immigrants)
per course will apply to retake the failed course. Certification
A successful student who has completed all the required courses in
the program with minimum grades of “C” or better is awarded
a Business Administration/Human Resource Management Diploma. The same
courses will be credited and transferred to be the first year undergraduate
Administrative Studies program at the University of Winnipeg.
