MIA & Trent University's Direct Admission & Credit Transfer Programs

MIA & Trent University's Direct Admission & Credit Transfer Programs

Program Overview
MIA & Trent University's Direct Admission and Credit Transfer Programs are designed for international students who wish to secure direct admission to the undergraduate program at Trent University. Our English Academic (EA) Program acts as a bridge for students whose native language is not English but wish to enroll in Trent University’s undergraduate programs. The EA Program improves students’ English communication skills and helps students develop a strong command of academic English in order to lay a solid English language foundation for their higher education and career training. After graduation, students move on to find better career opportunities back home or pursue a new life and career in Canada. With a degree from Trent University, students have a much better chance to apply and successfully achieve immigrant status in Canada.

Program Features
Trent University Direct Admission and Credit Transfer Programs are primarily tailored for those who wish to be admitted to Trent University undergraduate programs without having to obtain typical English language proficiency requirements such as TOEFL or IELTS scores. Instead, they can complete our English Academic (EA) Program. Students who enter this program will receive a conditional Letter of Acceptance from Trent University with the condition they complete the EA program at MIA before attending Trent. International community college or university students will also receive a block credit transfer from their home college or university to an undergraduate program at Trent University, providing that they successfully complete MIA’s EA Program.

Admission requirements
Students who wish to enroll in the EA Program must be:
• High school graduates who possess a valid school diploma
• Vocational training college graduates
• Community college graduates or current university students or graduates
